Geoid is the equipotential surface that would coincide with the mean ocean surface of the Earth if the oceans and atmosphere were in equilibrium, at rest relative to the rotating Earth and extended through the continents.[1]

Geoid.in is an attempt to bring in all the thoughts, ideas, questions in the author’s mind to the blogosphere. It also aims to serve as a portal to share all activities and progress in his attempts to understand and experiment with all the things within his interests. Though it may seem like a random collection of various things, the blog aims to have ‘Capturing, analysing and visualising geo-spatial data‘ as it major theme.

The Blog is written by Balamurugan Soundararaj, PhD in student from Department of Geography (CDRC) at UCL, London. You can contact him at s.bala@ucl.ac.uk
